Hyperbaric chamber at ChiroMiro: the wellness novelty the whole world is talking about
We have equipped our practice with a two-seat hyperbaric chamber – in Czechia it is still a fairly unknown wellness procedure, but in the USA or South Korea it is one of the fastest-growing trends in recovery and self-care among athletes and everyday people alike.

A hyperbaric chamber is an enclosed space where you breathe oxygen at increased atmospheric pressure. At ChiroMiro we offer it as a wellness procedure supporting regeneration and recovery – one session lasts 60 minutes and costs CZK 1,200 (CZK 1,500 for two people), with a 5-entry pass available for CZK 5,000.
What is a hyperbaric chamber?
A hyperbaric chamber is an enclosed space where a person breathes oxygen at a pressure higher than normal atmospheric pressure – usually 1.5 to 2 times the norm. The principle is known as hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT); at ChiroMiro, however, we offer it as a wellness procedure for regeneration, not as a medical treatment.
The principle is simple: under normal pressure, oxygen in the blood binds mainly to red blood cells. Under increased pressure, far more oxygen dissolves directly in the blood plasma, reaching even places where blood normally flows only in limited amounts – such as muscles overloaded by sport.
Our chamber has two seats, so two clients can take a session at the same time – ideal for couples, friends or training partners.
How a session works
- You sit comfortably in the seat, the chamber closes and gradually pressurises.
- The session itself lasts 60 minutes, followed by gradual depressurisation – allow roughly 1 hour and 16 minutes in total.
- You can breathe normally, read or relax the whole time.
- Practice staff are available throughout, and the session can be ended at any time.
Who may benefit from this wellness procedure
At ChiroMiro we offer the hyperbaric chamber as a complementary wellness procedure – not as a treatment.
- Athletes and active people who want to support recovery after exertion.
- People with sedentary jobs looking for a way to recharge their energy.
- Clients already receiving chiropractic care or the Balancer who want to add a moment of relaxation and recovery.
- Couples and friends – thanks to the two seats, you can enjoy a session together at a discounted price.
Why the world is talking about hyperbaric chambers
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy also has a long history in medicine, where specialised healthcare facilities use it for decompression sickness in divers or carbon monoxide poisoning, for example. That is a different context, pressure and equipment from our wellness chamber – with us it is purely about supporting recovery and wellbeing, not treatment.
In Czechia this wellness procedure is still a novelty, but not abroad. In the USA the hyperbaric chamber has become one of the most visible wellness trends of recent years – alongside cold exposure and wearable health sensors.
- Basketball player LeBron James has included it in his recovery routine.
- Singer Justin Bieber spoke about it as part of his wellness routine in a documentary about his life.
- Olympic swimmers and skiers, such as Michael Phelps and Lindsey Vonn, used it for faster recovery between races.
- Tech entrepreneur Bryan Johnson had a chamber installed directly in his office.
How often to come and what it costs
For a noticeable effect we recommend regular sessions – ideally 5 sessions, one per week (roughly a five-week course).
- Single session (1 person): CZK 1,200.
- Single session for two (both seats): CZK 1,500.
- 5-entry pass: CZK 5,000.

Frequently asked questions
What is a hyperbaric chamber?
A hyperbaric chamber is an enclosed space where a person breathes oxygen at increased atmospheric pressure. It is a wellness procedure supporting regeneration and recovery, which we offer at ChiroMiro in a chamber with two seats.
What is the hyperbaric wellness procedure for?
In the wellness and sports field, a hyperbaric chamber is used to support recovery after physical exertion, as a complement to musculoskeletal care and as a way to give the body energy and a feeling of freshness. It is not a medical treatment nor a substitute for medical care.
How much does a hyperbaric chamber session cost and how long does it take?
A session lasts 60 minutes plus gradual depressurisation – about 1 hour and 16 minutes in total. The price is CZK 1,200 for one person or CZK 1,500 when two people use both seats at once. A 5-entry pass costs CZK 5,000.
Does a session in the hyperbaric chamber hurt?
No, the session itself is painless. Some clients may feel pressure in their ears during pressurisation, similar to flying – our staff will teach you how to equalise the pressure.
Can I take a session with someone else?
Yes – the chamber has two seats, so you can enjoy a session with a partner, friend or training partner at the discounted price of CZK 1,500 for both.
Is the hyperbaric wellness procedure the same as home "oxygen tents"?
Not quite. Home chambers work with lower pressure and ordinary air, while our chamber works with higher pressure in a controlled environment under staff supervision.
